Nathaniel H. Benjamin

President and CEO

Nathaniel H. Benjamin is the President and CEO of Vertical Works.

With 25 years of experience, Nathaniel is regarded as a skillful human capital executive, industry leader, strategist, coach, and renowned speaker who is passionate for linking strategy, workforce planning, and organizational/employee engagement to drive individual and organizational success. Benjamin has led global human resources, organizational culture, and equal employment opportunity/civil rights corporate programs.

Earlier in his career, Nathaniel served as a noncommissioned officer in the U.S. Air Force, and an adjunct instructor for institutions of higher learning. He has received several awards for his superior leadership, and notable results as a human resources and organization development change agent.

Nathaniel is also an alumnus of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, the University of Baltimore, and Johns Hopkins University.

Angela D. Benjamin

Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Angela D. Benjamin is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Vertical Works. In a career that has spanned over twenty years, Benjamin has an extensive background in leading early childhood development, elementary educational instruction, adult learning and facilitation, and parent coaching.

During the Covid-19 global pandemic, Angela launched Next Level Academy — a home based homeschooling program focused primarily in science, technology, history, and mathematics for her children and others with notable results best captured by Virginia’s testing standards.

Angela is a skilled instructor and facilitator and has used her platform to serve as a panelist in recent years. To date, Benjamin has engaged with local political figures with regards to educational programs and vaccination policies/rollout strategies during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Angela is also an alumnus of North Carolina Wesleyan and a certified professional coach with focuses in both parent coaching and neuro-coaching.
